The KSD9700 series thermal protector is composed of disc-shaped high-sensitivity bimetallic components, moving contacts, stationary contacts, fixed bases, shells, temperature resistant wires, and other components. The fully enclosed structure can protect the components from contamination by dust or impurities, prevent the penetration of paint and damage from external forces.
During operation, the bimetallic components are in a free state, with the moving and stationary contacts closed and the circuit conducting. When the temperature of an electrical appliance rises to the operating temperature of the thermal protector due to malfunction, the bimetallic element generates internal stress and quickly moves, pushing the moving contact away from the stationary contact and disconnecting the circuit, thereby cutting off the power supply of the faulty electrical appliance and protecting it. When the temperature of the protected electrical appliance drops to the rated reset temperature value of the thermal protector, the bimetallic element returns to its initial state with contact closure, and the appliance resumes normal operation. This product has the advantages of low resistance, fast temperature sensing, fast action, safety and reliability, and small size.
